What You’ll Learn
In the first 10 lessons, you’ll cover the basics: saying hello, asking for or giving information, scheduling a meal or a meeting, asking for or giving basic directions, and much more. You’ll be able to handle minimum courtesy requirements, understand much of what you hear, and be understood at a beginning level, but with near-native pronunciation skills.

In the next 10 lessons, you’ll build on what you’ve learned. Expand your menu, increase your scheduling abilities from general to specific, start to deal with currency and exchanging money, refine your conversations and add over a hundred new vocabulary items. You’ll understand more of what you hear, and be able to participate with speech that is smoother and more confident.

In the final 10 lessons, you’ll be speaking and understanding at an intermediate level. In this phase, more directions are given in the target language, which moves your learning to a whole new plane. Lessons include shopping, visiting friends, going to a restaurant, plans for the evening, car trips, and talking about family. You’ll be able to speak comfortably about things that happened in the past and make plans for the future.

Reading Lessons begin in Lesson 9 to provide you with an introduction to reading Italian. In addition, the combined Reading Lessons are included after Lesson 30. These Reading Lessons, which total about one hour, are designed to teach you to sound out words with correct pronunciation and accent.

تاریخچه

اولین دوره آموزش فنی حرفه ای در چین به دوره آموزش صنعتی طی دهة 1860 (130 سال قبل) باز می گردد. محتوای اصلی آموزش فنی حرفه ای در آن دوره ـ سلسلة Qing قدیم ـ بر مطالعة تکنولوژی در غرب و آموزش عملی فعالیتهای مردانه با توانایی های عملی استوار بود.

با طراحی «برنامة آموزشی سال 1902» سری طرح های طبقه بندی شده، ویژه آموزش فنی حرفه ای لحاظ گردید. در همان اثنا «انجمن آموزش فنی حرفه ای» که در سال 1917 تأسیس شده بود، به اولویت بندی قوانین الحاقی آموزش فنی حرفه ای توسط بخش آموزشی و صنایع در چین مبادرت نمود. به علت پیشرفت کند اقتصادی و صنایع عقب مانده، توسعة آموزش فنی حرفه ای در کشور چین تا قبل از سال 1949 مختل گردید. در آن اثنا تنها 561 مدرسه متوسطه فنی با 77 هزار دانش آموز و 3 مدرسه ویژه آموزش های عملی مهارتی کارگران با 2700 دانش آموز فعالیت داشت. نرخ کل افراد ثبت نامی مدارس متوسطه فنی حرفه ای بر 4% (2% کل دانش آموزان مدارس متوسطه) بالغ می گردید. ظرف 50 سال از زمان پایه گذاری جمهوری خلق چین در سال 1949، آموزش فنی حرفه ای تحت برنامه های تطابق، تصحیح، تحکیم، اصلاح، گسترش و توسعة مداوم قرار گرفت. طی دهة 1950 در برخورد با نیازهای توسعة اقتصادی، هزاران مدرسه متوسطه تخصصی و مدارس مهارتی کارگران آغاز به فعالیت نمود. و این در حالی است که طی دهة 1960، آموزش فعالیتهای مردانه که مورد نیاز مبرم کلیه بخشهای جامعه بود و مدارس متوسطه کشاورزی سریعاً توسعه یافت. با این وجود، گام های توسعة طبیعی آموزش فنی حرفه ای در کشور چین به طور جدی تحت تأثیر انقلاب فرهنگی قرار گرفت. از زمانی که کشور وارد دورة تاریخی جدید اصلاحات اجرای سیاست و درهای باز چین به دنیای بیرون (در سال 1978) گردید، در حوزه آموزش فنی حرفه ای نیز حیات مجددی جهت پیشرفت دمیده شد. در سال 1980، آموزش فنی حرفه ای توسط وزارت آموزش (MOE) طراحی و ارائه شده و به تصویب مجلس ملی رسید. با انتشار «گزارش اصلاحات ساختاری آموزش متوسطه» توجه عمده ای بر اصلاح ساختار آموزش متوسطه و توسعه آموزش فنی حرفه ای معطوف گردید. از این روی، مدارس تکمیلی متوسطه (Sinior) (سه سال آخر دوره متوسطه) قادر به مواجهه با نیازهای اجتماعی ساختار مدرنیسم گردیدند.
